You can find a perfect
beach vacation spot in the winter. Wintertime at the beach can
be just as enjoyable as in summer. You should plan and pick the
right spot that suites you and/or your family.
Tropical beaches, such as those in the
Caribbean, Hawaii, Fiji, and Bora Bora, have warm weather year
round with plenty of sunshine. If you are interested in taking
a beach vacation and enjoy interesting sights and countryside,
you may consider a wintertime beach vacation in the Southern
Hemisphere.
Australia and New Zealand are in the Southern
Hemisphere. Their winter is the opposite of the winter season
in the United States. Winter in the Southern Hemisphere runs
from June 1st through August 31st. Taking a beach vacation in
December, January, or February will be a warm treat from the
cold weather in the United States. Tropical beaches are located
within 23 1/2 degrees north or south of the equator.
Hawaii is a state in the United States but is
always considered separately when discussed as a vacation
destination. It is considered a tropical island so the
weather is warm year round. There are a number of
interesting places to visit and stay on the islands.
The Grand Wailea Resort and Spa is on the
island of Maui. There are a number of activities to keep you
and the kids busy such as the Lava, Ana Puka, and Rapids water
slides. There are height restrictions for kids using the Lava
Slide and the Ana Puka Slide. There are lagoons, waterfalls, a
4,580 foot Hibiscus pool, and the 25,700 square foot Canyon
Activity pool. This is a perfect resort for honeymooners and

too.
The island of Oahu is the most popular of the
Hawaiian Islands. Waikiki Beach and the state capitol of
Honolulu are located on this island. Hawaii is the big island
with the cities of Kona and Hilo. The Volcano National Park is
located on this island. It has beautiful waterfalls and
breathtaking beaches. Maui has a number of luxury resorts and
golf courses.
No matter which island you choose, you can find

Hawaii.
Fiji and Bora Bora
The Fiji Islands are famous for their beautiful

choose from and breathtaking scenery.
Caribbean Islands
There are many large and small islands that
make up the Caribbean Islands including the U. S. Virgin
Islands, Jamaica, Bermuda, Barbados, and so on. The Caribbean
Islands have beautiful beaches, crystal clear water, and warm
weather.
There are a number of resorts on each island
and they feature activities such as wind surfing, snorkeling,
scuba diving, and nature hikes. Each island has its own
historical museum and there are many outdoor as well as indoor
shopping areas. A number of resorts on these islands cater only
to adults and others are for family vacations.
Southern Hemisphere
If you want to take a really interesting beach
vacation in the winter, plan a trip to Australia or New
Zealand. The winter months in the Southern Hemisphere are
opposite to those in the Northern Hemisphere (USA). If you
enjoy snorkeling and scuba diving, Heron Island beaches have
amazing marine wild life. Heron Island is located on the Great
Barrier Reef in Australia.
A note of caution when planning your beach
vacation in the winter, hurricane season in the Caribbean is
from June 1st to November 30th. August through October is the
peak time. You want to keep this in mind when deciding on your
vacation destination.
When the weather is cold outside and the snow
is falling and you want to get away to a warm, sunny place with
amazing beaches, marine life, and fun activities to keep you
occupied all day and into the wee hours of the morning, take a
beach vacation.
