The title of the best beach in St. Thomas has been given to Magens Bay. You may be required to pay an entry fee. There are a number of beach activities such as sailing, snorkeling, and kayaking along with swimming, sunbathing, and beach games on the shore.

Another popular beach is Secret Harbor. At Secret Harbor you will find hammocks and beach chairs scattered along the coastline. It is an ideal place to go diving. There are diving shops located on the beach so you can rent equipment. You can sit by the shoreline and relax or you can sunbathe, swim, or play beach games. If you are looking for something a little different, there is Lindquist Beach. It is an undeveloped beach. You get there by a rough, dirt road. There are no amenities. There are no lifeguards so you have to be cautious, especially if you take the kids.

Vessup Bay is another small beach with beautiful white sand. There are not many visitors during the week. This is another beach that residents use on weekends for picnics and parties. There is a small shop that rents equipment. It is not always open. It is a good place to relax.

Coki Point is home to the Coral World Ocean and Underwater Observatory. The Caribbean Reef Encounter is an 80,000 gallon tank that gives visitors a view of the underwater life of various marine habitants. There are also nature trails which show the vegetation of the island. You can take scuba diving lessons or just relax on the beach.
